| Where you come to eat. Something particular about Kirkwall academy is the cooking. Since cooking classes are available, the students are offered the meals prepared by their fellow classmates. So no one meal is exactly the same, but it is a good way to make practice and friends along the way.

| The kitchens are mostly used by the students for their cooking classes. It is commun at Kirkwall to have meals served by the students who made them. Ovens, pans, pots, cooking accessories, food, ingredients and spices are available. More skilled students can also give special private lessons to their fellow classmates.
